I was listening to a teaching by Pastor A. R. Bernard of Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, New York and he was teaching a series on "My Father the King" reminding, encouraging, counseling, and edifying the Body of Christ in how to allow Kingdom principles and values to take root and prosper for our holistic life.
God is concerned about every aspect of our beings. One of the points he focused on was that we are Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual beings and this multi-faceted premise is in line with this hub.We are (Bio) Biological beings. We are (Psycho) Psychological beings. We are (Social) Social beings and part of a society. We are (Spiritual) Born again beings. The Holy Spirit fills/infuses our born again spirit with the life of God, and quickens it in righteousness.
The spirit is a candle
"The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly" (Proverbs 20:27 KJV).
Our spirits are God’s candles; He supplies the light we need through the Holy Spirit, who searches us, (our soul) and makes known all that is in us to us.
Our spirits are born again, and the role of the born again spirit is different from that of the soul. Our spirits serve as light once we are born again empowered by the Holy Spirit.
There is nothing that we can ever do that can earn us the right to salvation; it is a free gift of God. Jesus Christ died for our sins to redeem us to God. He purchased us from the slavery of sin, and the curse of the law, through His shed blood; He took our place on the cross. The blood is the eternal seal of what Christ did. The blood bestows the right to enter the Kingdoms of heaven, and God.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me" (Galatians 2:20 KJV).
We are born again through our spirits first, and foremost, but our souls must follow. In John 3, Nicodemus acknowledges that Jesus is a teacher who comes from God, determining that no one can perform the miracles that He does except God be with Him. Jesus answered, and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Our souls become alive to God when we are born again, they are awakened from deep slumber, through the light of His Word and Spirit.
We being God’s candles, the light we receive helps our souls to see, once we are born again, and after that, we can become instrumental in helping our soul and others to see the light. It is like walking through the dark with a candle, the candle enables you to see your way through darkness. We are the candles, as we read earlier, the spirit of a man, is the candle of the Lord.
We can assist others to see as a result of being born again. Without our spirits lit we stumble through the dark, not seeing our way clearly. The Holy Spirit, and the Word of God give us the spiritual light we need to visibly continue on our journey. We walk by faith, faith is the light of our spirits, it is what we trust God with, it is not by sight, we can’t physically see Him, but we can spiritually see Him with our spirits, for the just shall live by their own faith. Faith is the light of our entire being, without it we can’t see God. Because the carnal mind is enmity (it is hostile, a reason for opposition, an adversary, enemy or foe.) We fight with our sword, which is the Word of God, and it is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword dividing asunder of spirit and soul. Divide asunder, it separates the two and distinguishes their properties.
King David often times had dialogues with his soul, and asked questions, such as why are you cast down o my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Resolving his dilemma he concludes, and advises himself, hope in God soul, because my spirit shall trust Him, and He is the help of my countenance, the joy of the Lord is my strength, He lights up my way.
Let us talk about our souls for a little while. Our spirits are born again instantly the day of salvation, but our souls must be transformed, and constantly be in the change mode within the process of time. We are all at different stages of growth in our Christian lives. Our souls are made up of different aspects which all have diverse functions. Strongholds commence in our souls, and the battleground is in our souls.
Our thoughts are dependent on the counsels and principles of the Word of God to transform and renew our minds, so that we can prove what is the will of God. It is God who is at work in us to will His will and to do His will. We are not alone!
The soul is full of counselors, which must be reproved by the instructions given to us in the Word of God. Unlike our born again spirits, the soul is learning the principles of being born again and what that entails.
When you designate time to study the Word of God, you are calling the entire committee of your soul together for an intentional purpose, to seek understanding, knowledge, wisdom, truth, and all that is needed. Every situation where you have to use the aspect of your mind to think through any situation, all the members of your soul are being summoned to sort that situation out. It is a subliminal thing, because you are not always fully aware of the operating system of the soul every time you make a decision, that you are in fact using the aspects of your soul.
Just say you are going to the grocery store. Usually you get in your car, or on a bus, or walk, and just go. You don’t really give it a whole lot of thought. The whole committee of the soul is in agreement, and off you go. Whereas if you sense danger of some sort it may take you a little bit longer because you must reason it out, as to why or what you should do next. You may just need to stop and pray to ask for further direction or for whatever you need. In stopping to pray you have overridden your soul and your spirit takes over from there. The spirit is always willing to do the will of God, and seek Him first because it has a new nature. The flesh is weak, and needs the strength of the soul. The salvation of the soul has to be worked out, the spirit already has salvation, and is seated with Christ in heavenly places getting instruction for the soul to complete the journey.
Committee members of the soul
1. Mind/Intellect - mental power, brain, intellect
2. Reasoning – way of thinking, logic, reckoning, interpretation, analysis
2. Conscience – sense of right and wrong, scruples, ethics, principles
4. Will – determination, motivation, resolve
5. Imagination – minds eye
6. Emotion – feeling, sentiment, passion, sensation
7. Memory – recollection, remembers, documents all thinking
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:1-2 KJV).
The mind/intellect does all of our thinking, and processes all of our thoughts in alliance with the other members of the soul.
When all of the committee members of the soul agree with the mind we make decisions. Either they are right or wrong decisions, nevertheless they are decisions. The door to the soul is open for light to come in, and illuminate and expel darkness in thinking. The mind/intellect is the seat of all-mental, brain, intellectual control – The mind is the part of the soul that does all of the thinking. The intellect configures, arranges, and organizes every thought that passes through our minds. It analyzes, examines, investigates, studies, questions, and considers thought to ascertain that it is logical, sound, reasonable, coherent, practical, realistic, rational, balanced and sane.
Once we are born again it does this by measuring all thoughts to the Scriptures. This is a process identified as transformation, in which we are daily changing our thinking to agree with God, in every way, and everything we think or do.
All thought must be put on trial before the Word of God. Mental ascension is raising the thinking to a higher plane, but void of action. There is very little wrong with raising you mental capacity, except that it is only one part. In some instances the term mental ascension should be shunned because it is only mental, void of doing what the Word is instructing us to do.
The mind makes a presentation or presents facts to the committee of the soul to decide upon in agreement. This is reconditioning the mind to the Word. Sin has imbedded a mindset or a set of rules, which it also dictates that we should adhere to, and these same dictates are used to trigger deep-seated domination to wrong thinking. You have an intellect!
You are an intellectual!
The world system is a dictator. It tells you if you complete the form of schooling that it has established that is void of God. It will give you the title of an intellect and the documentation, certification that it decides you merit. However, a Godless system can’t be the determining factor of who you are because you have an intellect, whether you will use it for good or evil is your choice and whether the world system will acknowledge your intellectual credentials is another story. Let us stick with God’s story not history, get it, his story.
The pseudo or counterfeit ruler of this world operates under principalities and powers in which we may have adapted as sinners; we have the real authority over all oppression in the name of Jesus Christ. We tell stinking thinking to get to stepping. The mind does all of our thinking and processes all of our thoughts in alliance with the other members of the soul. When all of the members of the soul agree with the mind we make decisions. Either they are right or wrong decisions. All of our thinking has to stand before the judge, the incorruptible Word of God. The Word has to undo every morsel of dishonesty that our minds may have yielded to while we were sinners, in order to offset wrong thinking and render strongholds ineffective
"Come now, let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. But, if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it" (Isaiah 1:18-20 KJV).
The Reasoning is the way we think, the use of logic, reckoning, interpretation, and analysis. Our souls are so vast. I can understand how King David reasoned with himself, in the Psalm 42 – He is talking about himself in recognition of God. I am fearfully, and wonderfully made, marvelous are thy works, and my soul knows right well.
Reasoning differentiates between right and wrong thinking, and allows the conscience to perform its part in developing principles, and ethical behavior that is right, the reasoning talks to the conscience, and counsels that there is never a good enough reason to sin. It sends messages throughout the soul. These internal memorandums are sent to all the members of the soul to respond appropriately.
The reasoning is what we use to judge. Judgment must include examination, and review of the facts. If I was not present for a situation, how do I effectively judge it? I understand why the Word states that if we would judge our selves, we wouldn’t be judged. I have made an agreement with myself. I don’t have the time to judge others, I would much rather pray than judge.
Judgment is something we do so automatically, that we do not even realize it. Working out my own salvation is a full time job, and if I can assist others in the process.. Jesus said, why behold the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, and you have a beam in your own. Ouch! That is admonition enough for me to take heed, and apply it to my own living. Reasoning must be placed under the counsel of the oracles of God, because with this aspect of the soul we can conjure up excuses for bad decisions, attitudes and actions, we call it justification. The reasoning can be a slippery slope, but not if integrity and truth are our skis.
The reasoning steps are to assist us in the use of interpretation, and logic. The reasoning is like a calculator, you enter numbers, and it finds the result, or resolve to the mathematical question you have entered. We read, and study the Word to determine if the we want to make is based on the righteousness found in the Word, if it isn’t correct thinking, then we have to change our thinking to agree with righteousness, and we practically implement, and apply the truths we receive. Wrong thinking is a stronghold, which has to be broken by reading, and studying the Scriptures and the anointing and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
"How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:14 KJV).
Conscience is the part of our soul that tells us the difference between right, and wrong. It is not enough to determine something right or wrong, but it is a major part of the process the conscience must go through.
A decision must then be made as to whether it is right, and when it is righteousness the Word of God instructs we must do it, or guilt is the product of a wrong decision. The Word of God must validate all of our decisions, because we can have our own sense of righteousness, we know it as self-righteousness, which is, and can be a stronghold, when it is not based on the Scriptures.
We can become complacent and comfortable; self-satisfied and unworried. All of our thinking is subject to change at any time, and we should expect this change, as we read the Word, and the Spirit convinces our minds of greater truths, than what we have adopted in our thinking process. It is a mindset to be ready to embrace the changes that the Word inculcates. We should prepare ourselves every time that we open our Bibles to read for the changes we will have to make to be in agreement with God in all things.
"Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly" (Hebrews 13:18 KJV).
"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13 KJV).
The Will is our determination, motivation, resolve, strength of character and self-control. The will is the committee leader under the mind. The mind presents an idea, and the will decides whether it wants to agree with the thought or not.
The will needs to be broken so that it complies with God in everything. We are learning how to use our wills for righteousness sake. The will has been conditioned under sin to do what the flesh dictates, that is what the breaking of the will means. The Word of God supplies us with the will of God in all things; there is nothing new under the sun. Our wills are now under the will of God, it is He that works through us to be in agreement with His will. Thy will be done is the only will to desire.
The Apostle Paul had a dilemma with his will in Romans 7:7-24. Let us turn to this chapter, and take a look. In this chapter the Apostle Paul demonstrates what it is like to be willing to do the right thing, yet do the wrong thing. He knew the guiles of sin, that it was not a joke. Jesus knew sin's grip when He chose to die for us, and make sin release us from its choking hold. Sin has residue, which must be addressed, and only the Word, Spirit and the blood can loose a life from being dominated by its pernicious grasp.
Sin is the stronghold of strongholds. This is why my heart goes out to the unsaved, sin is a sneaky enemy. I know the wiles of sin, being a sinner saved by unmerited favor (grace). Nothing that we can ever do that is good, or bad can earn us the right to salvation. The will was once directly linked with, and to sin, intertwined as two lovers. The unregenerate will used to love to sin, and sin loved to will it. The will under salvation has become opposed to sinful willingness. The thing to always keep in mind is God will always be right, and agree with that wholeheartedly. In all the cases where He is right, and I fail to measure up, guess who is wrong, Yep, me.
"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (II Corinthians 10:5 KJV).
The Imagination is the mind's eye. It can be a beautiful, and wonderful aspect of the soul. It is a creative place or the seat where creativity is seated. Your imagination can produce an image without your physical eyesight being able to see it, or you would have to have that object in front of your eyes in some form; be it a picture or otherwise.
For instance, I could just say to you the red rose. You will be able to envision a red rose, and describe it in depth. Of course it is an image we have all seen before, but once the thought crosses our minds we can see it with our imagination.
However, the Word of God cautions us that we should be aware of vain imaginations which can exalt themselves against the knowledge we have of God, and place them into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and not let this knowledge take, or make our imaginations captive.
We must put those thoughts in handcuffs, and make them surrender their power over our imagination to the obedience of Christ. Arrest it; we can even be a police officer in our soul. We must take negative thoughts captive, or they will take our imaginations captive. This is an opportune time for that old adage, I am going to get them before they get me, and probably the only time we should have that attitude. Put those thoughts which oppose God into captivity to the obedience of Christ, the Word and Spirit of God.
We must talk to our soul, and let it know that we are no longer in charge, God is. The intellect sees through the imagination. Images come very rapidly in our minds. The best debates are the ones you have in your own soul. The soul has to come to know and know that the blood of Jesus is the boss. The blood pleads daily for all of our shortcomings and sins. Which is a large part of the transformation process, getting the soul to agree with the renewal process made possible through the blood, and the flesh to act upon it.
The soul only knew you as boss prior to salvation, now it has to conform to Jesus being Lord (the boss of our lives). We all know from some experience in the world system about authority. We have been under managerial authority at work. We report to a supervisor. The supervisor is whom we report to regarding workloads, etc. Well, Jesus is whom we report to regarding our spiritual lives, He is really our supervisor, because He has superior and super-vision.
I think of a fearful thought, which is loaded with terror that makes me fearful. How do I overcome this fearful thought, which is a stronghold? It has a strong hold on me and is gripping me in fear.
I must take this thought captive to the Word of God because it is a vain imagination, which must be cast down, why? It is exalting itself against the knowledge I possess of God. I know that God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind. Therefore, I do not have to accept fear, and refuse to let it hold me in its nasty grip. I don’t need any hugs from fear. I denounce it by believing what the Word declares, that God has not given me the spirit of fear, fear has to go, and faith and trust in God I have called forth by believing what the Word declares, and acting on it by not fearing. It is a good decision my conscience has helped me to make. Fear is the wrong way to go.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12 KJV).
"For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin" (Hebrews 4:15 KJV).
Emotions are our feelings, sentiment, passion, sensations, and impressions. Everything we feel is considered emotional. We can feel happy, sad, sorrow, grief, joy, we may cry, laugh, feel sad, but none of these emotions can be relied upon. We can’t allow emotions to rule what or how we live. We need sound and healthy emotions. What we feel can’t be allowed to make decisions for us, because emotions can deceive you. Not wanting a roller coaster ride with emotions is maturity. Up one day down the next depending on circumstances.
Circumstances can dictate how you feel, only if you allow them. Praise is the best remedy for pivotal mood swings. Praise is ointment for emotions to be stable. Even this can be taken out of context, just like the roller coaster emotions. If I take the stance of I will praise God if everything goes well. Boy, have I made a mega mistake. In everything give Him thanks and praise. In the good times praise Him and in the bad times do the same, in everything give the King of glory praise.
Praise does not depend on our circumstances it is all about How Great is Our God! In the good times I am going to praise His name and in the bad times I will endeavor to do the same, in everything give Him thanks. God is not going to cease to be worthy because things are not going well. He is God yesterday, today and forever more. He will still be worthy of all praise no matter what the outcome is. It is up to us to give Him the praise.
Praising God heals us emotionally. When the memory brings up unpleasant memories that the emotions have gone through, Praise of God declares Hallelujah anyhow. Emotions get all of the strength needed to emote properly from and through praise and worship of God. Praise is the central theme of emotional jubilation. Emotions have a story to tell from beginning to end. I felt this or I felt that, I am feeling this and I am feeling that. Praise resurrects dead emotions and helps and heals our countenance.
Emotions are very real, and serious and there are so many of them, all that may be missing is the opportunity to express them. Jesus had emotions, He wept when Lazarus died, and He was touched with the feelings of our infirmities. We all have our memories full of them, each one diverse from the next. Stimulation of negative emotions is all that is needed to produce negative feelings and thoughts, and each one of us will have to decide, am I going to the let emotions tell me how to feel, or am I going control my emotions by yielding them to the Holy Spirit, and let Him clothe me in garments of praise, and be set free from emotional imbalances. It is alright to feel, but it is not alright to let feelings dictate decisions. Decisions based on emotions can bring calamities.
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you" (John 14:26).
The Memory is the part of the soul in which recollection of all data that passes through the mind takes place, the memory remembers, and it documents all thinking.
The memory keeps all records in order. This part of the soul is a file clerk or organizer. It helps us to recall any event that has happened to us good and bad. It doesn’t selectively delete bad records, because of pain, grief, sorrow, or any other bad things. It has a way of cooperating with the other aspects of the soul to determine how to resolve any issue in the memory bank.
I am recalling to memory a teaching that Minister Jackson taught on strongholds. Strongholds are real and very subtle in seducing your soul to accept them as logical and reasonable and can defend their right for you to believe them. In this teaching a question asked was what are triggers? Triggers are things which setoff or activate strongholds. One of the things mentioned as a trigger is any traumatic experience that causes pain and hurt.
I lived with my mother at the time of her death. I woke up one morning and found her dead on the kitchen floor. She must have been experiencing some discomfort, which felt like indigestion, so she had a cup of tea, she was having a heart attack, and in that process she must have just fell to the floor. This incident was grief, pain and sorrow all on the same memory card.
What triggers the grief associated with her death? Death is the trigger. Reasoning kicks in and helps the memory to understand that every memory of my mother is not a sorrowful remembrance. There are good and wonderful memories stored that I can recall anytime I choose. The good memories stored will have to provide the ointment that grief can produce or I would just sit around sorrowful and crying everyday. Just as the memories we are building in God are the ointment for all that ails our souls. The memory is a wonderful aspect of the soul. It keeps records of everything you have ever done, said, thought, every intent, motive and desire.
Wiping the sweat from my brow, I can reduce the stronghold count by one. Death where is your sting, and grave where is your victory. The soul is a battleground, yet in Jesus Christ there is rest. Jesus is the Sabbath rest. The Word and Spirit of God are ready to assist us in the pulling down of every stronghold.
The memory is equipped, and can store all of these thoughts in file folders in the database in the memory, then when triggered they can be brought up on the screen of our minds where we examine the worth. The Word of God sets criterions, and standards for the memory to comply with righteous thinking. God takes our sins, and cast them into the sea of forgetfulness, meaning He doesn’t recall them because of the blood of Jesus Christ. His ways are not our ways, we are learning as we study, and read the Word that our minds are under transformation.
Every time we read the Scriptures something is happening to our souls. New ways of thinking are being made known, as this process takes place the memory has new information it must store, and this new information must put all of our thoughts on trial. We are fearfully, and wonderfully made. All of us have some experience with computers and the different folders for storage. The memory performs the same operation, however, the memory preceded the computer in the plans of God. Our minds are not fashioned after the computer, man fashioned the computer after the mind, which God gave to man and woman to comply with His image.
Principalities are derivative of principles or rules, that govern territories, and areas where princes dwell. The conscious and sub-conscious has loads of unresolved principles, sorted and unsorted, and it houses, and has buried, concealed, and hidden information that can be a forte for strongholds, until the light shines in that dimly lit area, and exposes hidden thinking, feelings, memories, reasonings, imaginations, and emotions.
Have you ever been to a party when you were young, and all the lights are out except for maybe some colored very dim bulbs? And you are dancing, and having what you perceive as a good time. That is how the subconscious works, it dwells in a very dimly light aspect of our souls.
The more Word the more light, it gets to the point that you are not satisfied with the way the subconscious operates because it is hiding, and concealing things which must come to the surface, and feed the conscious so that it is operating in an alert state, not suppressing things in the subconscious.
Principalities are not just outside of us, but there can be places within the mind where these thieves hide. Negative thoughts are principalities, they are negative principles. How many negative thoughts do we reprove per second by the Word of God? Mysterious right! Reading, and studying the Word can knock down these fortes which strongholds build and dwell in.
Negative thoughts can be imbedded in thinking. Sin only produces negativity; there is nothing positive about sin. Righteous thinking can immerge faster than we think, because of the Word, and the Spirit of God. It is quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword. Think of the Word as a sword for a moment.
The sword cutting away malignant thought, just as a surgeon would cut away a tumor, the Word cut away and can change the malignancy of thought, this type of thinking is contagious, if you think it, it can spread, and disease your thinking, then if you speak it, it becomes an communicable disease, you can defile others with those words.
We are up for check-ups everyday with the greatest physician this world will ever know, He has the medicine for every thing that ails us, ointment which the Holy Spirit pours in through the Word of God. The goal is to get all the members of the committee (our soul) to cooperate with each other in fulfilling the Word of God in every situation, and circumstance.
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38 KJV).
"For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principalities and power" (Colossians 2:9-10 KJV).
"And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15 KJV).
"Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in the which is to come" (Ephesians 1:21 KJV).
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church. Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. It is like re-arranging the position of furniture in a room of your home. One day you look at the room and you decide it needs a change, so you reposition the furniture so that it is favorable. In our minds we must redo our thinking to be in agreement with God. Unlike changing the furniture around in a room. We need to clean up our thinking, remove all the junky thoughts, which do not line up, this only comes by the faith, which comes by hearing and the hearing by the Word of God. This is a personal thing which only honesty and integrity with oneself will produce, the prosperity of the soul. Beloved I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers. As the soul prospers it becomes capable of providing good health to the body.
"But Jesus called them unto him, and said, You know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them" (Matthew 20:25 KJV).
Do you realize, and know that there are prince-like thoughts in our thinking that try to exercise dominion over us, these are called strongholds, and the ones that have risen to a greater position in our thinking can exercise authority over our thinking as they serve as principles, and hinder our transformation process. Unresolved principles that do not activate righteousness can attract principalities which oppose God.
It is the little foxes that spoil the vine. A little leaven, leaventh the whole lump. Just a little yeast added to a recipe will make the whole lump rise. This authority must be broken because it triggers these strongholds to be set-off to think contrary to the Word; we must cast these thoughts down by the Word. Try the spirit by the spirit to determine if they are from God, the question we must always ask is, what does the Word say about it?
The Prince of peace (Jesus) versus the prince of this world. Jesus has already defeated the prince of this world for us, but it doesn’t stop him from killing, stealing, and destroying what belongs to us unless we stop him from building a forte in our souls. Peace of mind comes by subduing contrary winds blowing through our souls, sitting down like invited guests wanting to be entertained. I know you have heard stories at some point in time, where someone shows up at a party, and no one invited them. The host is usually outraged that they would have the audacity to show up uninvited. That is what we should have be, when we discover that we have uninvited guests in our souls. The thing about sin is it is always an un-invited guest. Have you really ever thought about it? When have we invited sin to be our company or to rule us? Never, we were born into it.
Who in their right mind would invite a stronghold to set up camp in their soul? I don’t think I know anyone who would deliberately call sin or strongholds into their soul. No, they are usually passed on generation after generation, or they are just the residue or result of sin. Sin passed on a mindset that only the Word and Spirit of God can uproot in our souls. I hope and prayer that this hub would encourage, enlighten and illuminate, edify and encourage, inspire and provide guidance for maturity and prosperity, to be in good health, even as our soul prospers.
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!!!
